In my experience, milk soap is not a good candidate for the energy exchange method. I always freeze milk to a slush then sprinkle the lye onto it, stirring carefully as I go to prevent the milk from heating. When the lye is all combined you'll have a cool, yellow mixture that won't melt the oils as you need to do in energy exchange.
