Thank you for writing.

In my experience, milk soap is not a good candidate for the energy exchange method.  I always freeze milk to a slush then sprinkle the lye onto it, stirring carefully as I go to prevent the milk from heating.  When the lye is all combined you&#039;ll have a cool, yellow mixture that won&#039;t melt the oils as you need to do in energy exchange.  Instead, I warm the oils just enough to melt the solids then let it cool as much as it will without re-solidifying.
